This charter defines the professional framework and principles of the relationship between Genar and the families it works with. Its purpose is to make clear the scope of the collaboration, the responsibilities it involves, and the limits of Genar's role along the way.

Genar’s relationship with clients is not merely an educational or service arrangement; it is a structured collaboration to develop decision-making abilities, strengthen intergenerational structures, and prepare the next generation to steward the family legacy responsibly.

This charter has been drawn up to preserve transparency, independence, and the quality of the collaboration.

Transparency about the scope of collaboration

Clients have the right to know the domain in which a collaboration with Genar is defined. Genar's work includes developing the competencies related to stewarding the family legacy, intergenerational decision-making, structuring family businesses, and creating select collaboration opportunities.

Genar does not take on the direct management of assets, the execution of transactions, or making decisions on behalf of clients.

Separation of roles

Genar is not a substitute for the judgment and decision-making of families. Genar's role is to develop decision-making capacity, provide analytical frameworks, and accompany families along the path of preparation.

Responsibility for the final decision and its execution always remains with the client.

Confidentiality

All information, conversations, and structures relating to clients are kept at the highest level of confidentiality. No use, transfer, or disclosure of information is possible without the client's written consent.

No one-size-fits-all

Each family is treated as an independent structure. The analyses, paths, and frameworks Genar proposes are designed around the circumstances, goals, and structure of each family; there is no generic or identical version that applies to everyone.

Professional quality

Clients have the right to expect that every interaction with Genar is carried out at a professional level, with rigor and in keeping with the nature of the matter. Genar's approach is grounded in analysis, structure, and decision-making — not generic or motivational solutions.

The right to independent decision-making

Genar is not the final decision-maker. Genar's aim is to strengthen a family's ability to decide, not to replace it.

The right to end the collaboration

Within the framework of the contractual agreements, clients may end their collaboration with Genar should they no longer wish to continue.

The right to a fitting collaboration

The level and nature of Genar's engagement is defined in proportion to the circumstances, needs, and vision of each family. No path or framework is applied uniformly to all families without sufficient understanding.
